WHO WE ARE

Hello, this is Gerry Ward, the newly elected President of the Lake Travis Republican Club. I am
honored to have been selected and elected to this position. I am also a Director of True Texas
Project (Hill Country) and a Travis County Republican Party Precinct Chairman.

My main focus, however, is on the Lake Travis Republican Club and its mission. I will be working
hard for you—now and into the future. Know that we will have a new and energized focus as
we grow our club membership in the Austin area, aiming high with bold goals. We WILL be
known as the premier conservative organization providing education and activism, while at the
same time hosting many monthly and yearly social events themed “Party with a Purpose.”
These new events will be in addition to our regular monthly afternoon membership meetings
that will continue to feature spectacular speakers. There will be something for everyone as we
move forward with a broader scope and renewed purpose.

Unfortunately, the Republican Party recently lost a great emerging leader. If there is one thing
that Charlie Kirk proved, it is that one man CAN make a difference—even one who is not an
elected official, but an ordinary U.S. citizen willing to speak out on the differences between
right and wrong, good and evil, and to stand up for the protection of all who hold differing ideas
and thoughts. He will surely be missed—and just like the slogan “Fight, Fight, Fight,” we will
now hear for years to come, “Remember Charlie.” This will serve as a reminder to carry on his
mission of righting wrongs and dispelling the falsehoods and lies spread by liberal media and
other misguided Americans.

Many good Americans have been deceived by globalists who seek power and control. From my
perspective, the United States is the only nation standing firmly in their way. We MUST remain
strong. Hundreds of thousands of patriots have rallied to the call and will fill the void Charlie
leaves behind through his courage and sacrifice. He was revered and followed by so many—his
truth will carry on and help lead our country to victory in the ongoing war for morality. He set
an example—an ideal image of what all Americans should strive to be. And while this young,
freedom-loving spokesman may be gone, his voice carries on within us through our shared love
of patriotism and our passion for what is good and right.

I humbly ask that you join us in creating a powerful synergy of local conservatives banding
together by joining the Lake Travis Republican Club. In the past, we have not always been as
vocal or unified in activism—but that is changing. The passing of this legendary patriot has set

an example for all of us to do more and to honor his memory by standing up against the hate,
the vulgar speech, and the evil actions we see daily. We simply have too much to lose by
ignoring what is happening in our world today.

Unless we stand strong together as a country founded on Christian principles, sitting around
and complaining simply isn’t an option anymore. It’s up to us—all of us—to stop the spread of
evil attempting to distort American values and turn our beloved nation into something it was
never meant to be.

So, join us. Let’s pick up that torch and move forward without fear or intimidation. Join us in an
effort to correct the mistakes of the recent past. Join us in a movement that will be
unstoppable! Help us build a great “Lake Travis Red Wall” that is impenetrable to the
Democrats and say—loud and clear—that we will take it no more!

My very first statement as President in our recent Board meeting was:
“I don’t believe in the word ‘can’t.’ There is always a way.”

 

Joined together, we can turn around this country, this county, and our Lake Travis communities
around. Individually and collectively, we CAN make a difference—just as Charlie Kirk did!
